Side by side

Ociate vs Zenu

Zenu bundles a sales CRM, customisable website, e-marketing, prospecting, and inspections into one platform. It's positioned as the simple, cost-effective option for AU sales agencies and counts 6,000+ agents across First National, Harcourts, LJ Hooker, and One Agency. It does not advertise AI conversation handling or a voice agent.

We make Ociate. We'll still tell you when Zenu is the better fit. Every section below calls out where each tool wins. Pricing and features come from Zenu's public site and review platforms (links at the bottom).

TL;DR

Which one should you pick?

Pick Ociate if

Your bottleneck is response time on inbound enquiries and you want AI to actually reply to SMS and answer inbound calls, not just trigger an automated email.

Pick Zenu if

You want one vendor that hosts your agency website, runs your e-marketing, and handles your CRM, with simple per-tier pricing and no AI in the loop.

Either works if

You're a small sales office, you handle enquiries yourselves, and an integrated website plus basic SMS/email automation covers the workload.

At a glance

Feature-by-feature, head to head.

Feature Ociate Zenu

AI auto-reply on inbound SMS (autonomous)

Zenu offers an 'Automated Enquiry Responder', which is a rule-based reply, not a two-way AI conversation.

AI voice agent (answers calls, qualifies leads)

Bulk SMS campaigns

Two-way SMS conversations

Zenu sends and receives SMS, but reply handling is manual on the agent's side.

AI content generation (emails, ad copy)

Lead auto-qualification

Integrated agency website builder

Zenu's website builder is one of its headline modules.

Open-for-inspection management + buyer feedback

Zenu has dedicated inspection workflows including vendor snapshots and feedback surveys.

Trust / sales trust accounting

Zenu lists 'Sales Trust' under admin tools, but isn't pitched as a full trust accounting platform.

Property management module

Zenu is sales-focused; PM is not a headline module.

Mobile app

CSV import for contacts and listings

Published pricing

Zenu lists tier names but not per-seat costs.

Strengths

Where each one wins.

Zenu wins on
  • Integrated website builder. Your agency site, listings, and CRM live in one platform, with portal uploads handled for you.
  • Purpose-built for AU real estate. 6,000+ agents across First National, Harcourts, LJ Hooker, and One Agency.
  • Simple to learn. Marketed as a low-learning-curve option, which matters for offices with high admin turnover.
  • Inspections workflow is mature, including open-for-inspection management, vendor snapshots, and buyer feedback surveys.
  • Unlimited support included, with an AU-based team.

Where Zenu struggles

  • No conversational AI. The 'Automated Enquiry Responder' is rule-based, not an AI that holds a two-way SMS conversation with a lead.
  • No voice agent for inbound calls.
  • Pricing is not published. Tier names (Starter, Professional) are public, but per-seat costs require a sales conversation.
  • Property management is not the focus. The platform leans sales-side; full PM and full trust accounting depth aren't core to the product.
  • AI features are not part of the current marketing story, so AI-driven workflows lag products built around them.
Ociate wins on
  • Ociate's AI replies on its own to inbound SMS, end to end. Zenu sends an automated responder and waits for a human to take over.
  • Voice agent that answers inbound calls, qualifies the lead, and books appointments without anyone picking up.
  • Bulk SMS with AI-managed two-way conversations, not just one-way blasts.
  • Pricing is published on our site, no demo call needed.
  • Modern product surface designed around AI workflows rather than a feature bolted onto a traditional CRM.

Where Ociate is still catching up

  • No integrated website builder. If you want your agency site and CRM under one roof, Zenu is the more complete bundle today.
  • Inspection management is less feature-deep than Zenu's open/private inspection and vendor reporting tools.
  • Younger product, so fewer integrations and templates available out of the box.

Best fit

Who each one is built for.

Zenu is best for

Sales agencies that want one vendor for website, CRM, and marketing, with a simple interface and AU-based support. AI conversation handling isn't on their must-have list.

Ociate is best for

Sales agencies whose enquiries sit unanswered overnight or during inspections, and who'd rather have an AI hold the first SMS or phone conversation than rely on a templated auto-responder.

Switching

  • Property listings via CSV / REAXML
  • Notes and contact history (CSV)

Needs rebuild

  • Action Plans need rebuilding as Ociate sequences

Questions

Common questions about Ociate vs Zenu.

Still weighing it up? Book a 15-min call and we'll walk you through both.

Does Ociate replace Zenu's website builder?

No. Ociate doesn't host or build agency websites. If your site lives in Zenu today, you'd keep that side of Zenu (or move it to a dedicated provider) and use Ociate for the AI lead handling layer.

Is Zenu's 'Automated Enquiry Responder' the same as Ociate's AI?

No. Zenu's responder is a rule-based template that fires when an enquiry arrives. Ociate's AI keeps the conversation going on SMS, qualifies the lead, and books the next step without the agent in the loop.

Can I import my Zenu contacts and listings into Ociate?

Yes. Both export to CSV and our import flow handles standard contact and property fields. Custom fields and Action Plans need to be re-mapped, but the data itself moves cleanly.

How does pricing compare?

Zenu doesn't publish per-seat prices, so a direct comparison requires a demo with their team. Ociate's pricing is on our pricing page.

Does Ociate handle inspections the way Zenu does?

Zenu has the deeper inspection workflow today, including open/private inspection management, QR check-ins, and vendor feedback snapshots. Ociate handles enquiry-to-inspection booking but doesn't yet match Zenu's depth on the day-of-inspection tools.

Can I trial both at the same time?

Yes. Ociate has a 14-day free trial with no credit card. Many agencies trial Ociate alongside their existing Zenu setup to see how AI handles their real lead flow before deciding.
